Every site gets its own geofence. Clock-in records a single location fix and stamps the distance from the door; an out-of-range tap goes to a manager for approval. It’s validated on the server — it can’t be faked from the phone.
Validated where it counts
The check runs on the server, not the phone
Rostera measures the distance between the carer and the visit address using the Haversine formula on the server. If it’s outside the site’s radius, the clock-in is held for manager approval — so a distance stamp is real evidence, not a self-report.
